Equicast® is user-friendly and affordable for the treatment of hoof problems (structural wall and sole failure). Equicast® adds temporary wear protection and support to the whole hoof capsule. Whether equine hoof problems are natural or manmade in origin, casting provides the added support to help grow stronger, healthier hoof walls and soles. Our products and wrapping methods have been designed to assist nature in effectively restoring healthy hooves and the proper biomechanics necessary for sustainable and healthy growth. Equicast® should be applied by a hoof care professional.

Equicast® Hoof Casting Special Features

  • Equicast® is developed specifically for use on horse's feet with strength and ground-wear resistance in mind (unlike standard orthopedic cast that is not designed with the same wear requirements). 
  • Made of Fiberglass mesh with a special weave for added strength (Fiberglass has 30%-40% less "give" than polyester cast material).
  • Equicast® casting has more of a specially formulated resin than common orthopedic cast, which adds considerable strength and durability when compared to other casting materials on the market.
  • Equicast® is MADE IN THE USA with quick production-to-distribution turnaround and stored in a temperature controlled facility. This means that our casting material does not sit on a boat or in a shipping container for months allowing the resin to settle or affect the shelf life and consistency of the product.


Available in 3 sizes:

    2" x 4 Yards - Recommended for horses up to 1100 pounds

    3" x 4 Yards - Recommended for horses from 1100 - 1300 pounds

    4" x 5 Yards - Recommended for horses over 1300 pounds
