Pricing & Purchasing Specifications: The default price shown above is for shoes bought by the pair. A $2.55/pair discount is offered when you purchase 5 pair or more. The discounted price will be calculated in the shopping cart once 5 pair of these Shoes (can mix sizes) have been added. If for any reason the wrong price level for the number of shoes you are ordering is applied, we will notify you and adjust the price accordingly at the time of shipping.

 

Equicast™ Wood Shoes with leather pad are used to treat many hoof problems from founder, laminitis, white line disease, broken coffin bones, long toe low heel syndrome, or just to develop a better hoof. We encourage a walking rehabilitation program with these shoes on to enhance circulation, which helps to grow a proper hoof. Like with all our line of shoes the method to attach is the same. Select the right size shoe then place the hoof onto the shoe attach with glue, Elastikon, or screws while the horse is standing on the shoe. We have had the best luck with this method (screws). Once the shoe has been attached to the hoof it is now time for the DIM on the back for the hoof from the widest part of the hoof to the widest part of the hoof stretch wrap the DIM let cure for about 5 minuets then remove the stretch wrap and cast with Equicast.
